CaregiverHelp began with the caregiving experiences of Madelyn Kubin, whose personal letters described the emotional realities of caring for her husband during a long-term illness.
Her daughter, caregiver speaker Elaine Sanchez, transformed those real-life stories into educational programs designed to help family caregivers manage stress, respond to behavioral changes, and sustain their ability to provide care over time.
Today, the CaregiverHelp Resilience Support Program is used by health plans, provider networks, and community organizations to complement clinical instruction by addressing the emotional challenges of caregiving.
The program is also available to individual caregivers through a self-directed subscription designed for flexible, on-demand support.
Meet the Team

Elaine Sanchez
Founder of CaregiverHelp and creator of the Resilience Support Program for family caregivers
Elaine Sanchez became a family caregiver in 1993 when her father suffered a debilitating stroke. During the six and a half years that followed, her mother, Madelyn Kubin, wrote deeply personal letters about the emotional realities of caregiving—letters that would later become the foundation for Letters from Madelyn: Chronicles of a Caregiver.
Drawing from these experiences, Elaine developed a national speaking career and created the CaregiverHelp Resilience Support Program to help family caregivers manage emotional stress, respond to behavioral changes, and sustain their ability to provide care over time.
Today, through keynotes, virtual programs, and online support groups, Elaine provides caregivers with practical tools, real-life examples, and compassionate support for one of life’s most challenging roles.

Elaine records caregiver education videos and delivers live virtual keynotes in the CaregiverHelp video studio.

Madelyn Kubin
The Story Behind CaregiverHelp
CaregiverHelp began with a series of deeply personal letters written by Madelyn Kubin during the years she cared for her husband after his stroke. With honesty and unexpected humor, Madelyn captured the emotional realities of caregiving in ways few people were willing to say out loud.
Those letters became the foundation for Letters from Madelyn: Chronicles of a Caregiver — and ultimately inspired the development of the CaregiverHelp Support Group Program.
Today, Madelyn’s voice continues to shape the compassion, realism, and practical tools woven throughout CaregiverHelp’s programs and resources.
From Letters to Program
Letters from Madelyn
Chronicles of a Caregiver
Drawing from the deeply personal letters her mother wrote during years of caregiving, Elaine Sanchez edited and compiled those reflections into Letters from Madelyn, Chronicles of a Caregiver. The book offers an honest look at the emotional realities of caregiving — and it became the foundation for Elaine’s keynote presentations and the CaregiverHelp Support Group Program.
Our Mission Today
CaregiverHelp was created to support family caregivers through every stage of the caregiving journey — from early stress and uncertainty to the emotional challenges that come with long-term care and loss. Today, our programs are used by health plans, provider organizations, and individual caregivers seeking practical tools, emotional support, and connection with others who understand the realities of caregiving. Whether you’re supporting caregivers professionally or caring for someone you love, you don’t have to do this alone.
