I will be presenting a virtual three-hour keynote on Wednesday, April 14th for Alzheimer’s Services of the Capital Area in Baton Rouge, LA.  I will be speaking about managing the emotional stress of caring for individuals who are living with long-term progressive and degenerative diseases like Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s. This is a two-day event. On April 15th,  Neila J. Donovan, PhD, CCC-SLP, will be speaking about using music and memory to increase interactions and decrease agitation in people with dementia. Karen Stobbe & Mondy Carter will demonstrate how improvisation can be used to Improve Care in Alzheimer’s. The cost is $25 for family caregivers, $75 for professional caregivers. I will be presenting a virtual keynote for the Barrow Alzheimer’s and Memory Disorders Care Partner Symposium on Friday, April 30th. The event starts at 1:00 and concludes at 3:30. This conference is focused on helping family caregivers cope with the stress of caring for individuals with memory disorders.
